A Blogging we are a going! This is my photo at a recent event called "Dinner and a Flick: Big Night" with the showing of the movie "Big Night" and many of the dishes from the movie served to attendees, in this case timpano. Timpano is a difficult and time-consuming layered dish of tons of things such as fresh pasta, tomato sauce, cheese, and who knows-what-else. The point of the movie is that there are really 2 kinds of people: those who take the easy road and spend their lives pleasing others but never challenging themselves, and those who truly believe in taking the more difficult road of sticking to your guns, doing things that are right and often difficult (in this case, timpano takes almost 3 days to make, but you can't speed up the process) and never compromising quality for ease. I hope this Blog awakens Washingtonians to the latter way of looking at life: that nothing comes easy, but with diligence, a sense of honor, loyalty, and By Gosh, a TRUE love of food and wine, that the Truth Will Set You Free - Cheers!
